Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 13, 2026
Last Updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Room Foundry collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use the service or communicate with us.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use Room Foundry.
1. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
- Account information, such as your email address and authentication details.
- Room and project content, such as room photos, generated room images, room type, design preferences, written instructions, Keep Requests, project names, and saved design versions.
- Anonymous preview information, such as a guest trial cookie, uploaded room photo, generated preview, trial status, and conversion status.
- Purchase-related information, such as purchase status, credit quantity, order reference, credit ledger activity, and payment provider. Payment-card and certain checkout details are processed by Stripe, Apple, RevenueCat, or their processors rather than directly by Room Foundry.
- Shopping information, such as product targets derived from a design, recommendation results, saved or selected products, affiliate-link clicks, and shopping-plan status.
- Communications, such as contact and support messages, the email address you use to contact us, and related request information.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages and features used, dates and times of access, click and conversion activity, advertising click identifiers, cookies, local storage, performance traces, logs, stack traces, error reports, and related diagnostic information.
- Marketing and communication preferences, such as whether you opted into design ideas, product finds, and Room Foundry updates, plus unsubscribe status and email-delivery events.
2. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers and business partners that support authentication, hosting, payments, analytics, advertising measurement, communications, and affiliate shopping.
3. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Room Foundry.
- Create accounts, authenticate users, and secure access to projects.
- Process room photos and written design instructions to generate and display room-design outputs.
- Provide credits, Free Previews, revisions, project history, and shopping recommendations.
- Process orders, confirm purchases, administer credit balances, and respond to refunds, returns, or chargebacks.
- Send transactional messages, such as sign-in codes, purchase confirmations, service notices, lifecycle account messages, unsubscribe confirmations, and support responses.
- Send marketing emails only where permitted and based on your opt-in or consent status, and stop promotional lifecycle emails after purchase or unsubscribe.
- Monitor reliability, investigate errors, measure advertising and product performance, and improve the user experience.
- Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, security incidents, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
4. AI processing and room content
Room Foundry uses third-party AI and cloud service providers, including OpenAI, to process room photos and written design instructions and to create design outputs.
When you request a render or refinement, we may transmit the applicable room photo, project information, design preferences, preservation choices, and written instructions to an AI service provider so it can process the request and return an output to us.
For shopping discovery, we may send a completed room design, a temporary crop of an item, product-search text, and candidate product images to an AI service provider to identify and compare visually similar products. Product-search providers receive derived search queries, but we do not intentionally send them your account email or payment information.
5. Anonymous Free Previews
Room Foundry may use a secure first-party guest trial cookie to provide one anonymous Free Preview per browser and to restore a preview if you refresh or return later.
The guest trial cookie and related server record help prevent duplicate free renders, preserve the active preview state, and connect a preview to your account if you later choose to save or purchase.
If you do not create an account and save the preview, the uploaded room photo and generated anonymous preview are automatically deleted from active systems after 24 hours. A limited trial record may remain to prevent repeated free-preview abuse.
6. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies for essential functionality, security, authentication, preferences, and analytics.
We use PostHog for product analytics and error capture, and Sentry for application error monitoring, performance tracing, and logs. These services may receive page URLs, pseudonymous account identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, feature activity, stack traces, request metadata, logs, and other diagnostic context. Diagnostic context associated with an error may include account or request information needed to investigate the failure.
We use the Pinterest tag and Pinterest Conversions API for advertising measurement. For authenticated users, Pinterest enhanced matching may receive a SHA-256 hashed email address and a hashed internal account identifier. Pinterest may also receive conversion events, IP address, user agent, Pinterest click identifiers, page URL, and purchase value and order-reference data. Hashing makes matching identifiers pseudonymous, not anonymous.
We use the Google tag and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure visits and completed preview signups. Google may receive page and conversion activity, advertising or cookie identifiers, and a pseudonymous conversion transaction identifier. We do not intentionally include your email address in the Google Ads signup-conversion event.
We do not intentionally configure product-analytics or advertising event properties to contain room photos, generated room images, written room instructions, or payment-card information. Error-monitoring context is used for security and troubleshooting, not advertising.
Some laws may treat certain analytics or advertising measurement as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising activity. To make a privacy request or ask us to limit such activity where applicable, contact support@roomfoundry.com.
7. How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers that help provide hosting, authentication, storage, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, advertising measurement, AI processing, product search, background jobs, security, and technical support, including Vercel, Supabase, OpenAI, Trigger.dev, Resend, PostHog, Sentry, Pinterest, and Google.
- Stripe, which processes checkout, payments, refunds, disputes, and certain transaction support matters.
- Apple and RevenueCat, which process or verify purchases made inside the iOS app.
- Affiliate merchants and networks when you select an affiliate product link.
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, authorities, and business transferees where reasonably necessary.
- Others with your direction or consent.
8. Advertising and state privacy disclosures
Room Foundry does not sell personal information for money. Our use of Pinterest and Google advertising technologies may be considered selling, sharing, or targeted advertising under some privacy laws because those providers receive identifiers and activity data for conversion measurement and advertising purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities. Contact support@roomfoundry.com with the subject line Privacy Request. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information about anyone under 18.
9. Affiliate links
Room Foundry may show links to third-party merchants, including Amazon. When you click one of those links, the third party's policies govern the collection and use of information on its site.
Room Foundry may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through certain affiliate links. Shopping recommendations are intended to help users find visually similar products; they are not guarantees that a product is identical to an AI-generated item or appropriate for any particular space.
10. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Room Foundry, maintain your account and projects, comply with legal and financial obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.
Deleting a project or account may not immediately remove information from secure backups or records we must retain by law. We will delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal requirements.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or appeal of certain personal information decisions.
You can delete a Room Foundry account from Account > Delete account on the website or in the iPhone app. Account deletion removes access to the account and removes private room image files and personal room-design content from active systems. We may retain de-identified or limited purchase, credit-ledger, fraud-prevention, security, tax, and legal records where reasonably necessary or required by law.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Transactional emails, such as sign-in codes, purchase confirmations, security notices, and support responses, may still be sent when needed.
To exercise a privacy right, contact support@roomfoundry.com with the subject line Privacy Request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If we deny a privacy request and applicable law gives you a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting the same address with the subject line Privacy Appeal.
12. International processing
Room Foundry and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Children's privacy
Room Foundry is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised Last Updated date.
